POPE's / Pre-Employment Assessments

POPEs are a functional assessment that can legally and effectively be used to identify, prior to employment, if an individual is able to perform the essential physical requirements of a particular job.  POPEs can also be used to establish a baseline for employees, which aids in the rehabilitation of an injured worker.

POPE assessments can be used to avoid discrimination and represent an assessment based on the bona fide occupational requirements (BFOR) of the job by referencing the critical job demands (PDAs) required for the position.

Evidence has found that individuals who successfully pass these assessments have fewer work related injuries and are more productive at work.  POPE assessments consist of two components: Musculoskeletal Assessment&  Validated Job-Specific Functional Tests.
